We’re cruising through July with a supersized dose of family fun. On our radar: a ginormous food fest, a spectacular parade, a summer festival with tons of kids’ activities, a movie with our favorite fish and a pirate-themed fundraiser. Groupon Bite of Seattle
Bring your appetite and savor “bites” from more than 60 local restaurants at this annual three-day food extravaganza. While you’re there, hit the Family Fun Zone for lots of hands-on activities and enjoy live entertainment on four stages, chef demos and tons of food product samples. Fri.-Sun. Event details.

West Seattle Grand Parade (pictured)
This annual parade has all the bells and whistles of the Torchlight Parade, but without the crowds and parking chaos. Grab a curbside seat along California Ave. to see clowns, marching bands, drill teams and plenty of community floats, plus those wild and crazy Seafair Pirates and Seafair Clowns. Sat. Chinatown Seafair Parade
Grab a seat on South King St. and settle in for this annual evening parade held in the heart of Chinatown. The fab parade will feature lion and dragon dances, martial arts demonstrations, the Seattle Chinese Girls Drill Team, Seafair Pirates and many more local community groups from the greater Seattle area. Renton River Days
At this annual three-day festival, enjoy tons of family fun including the always-popular Rubber Ducky Derby and Nibble of Renton. Other activities include a community parade, vendor booths and awesome Kids Zone with inflatables, putt putt golf, a LEGO Playzone and Dizzy’s Tumblebus. Fri.-Sun. Event details.


Pirates on the Plateau 5k & Community Carnival
Join other Seattle families for this fun 5k walk/run where the only way to get from Point A to Point B is dressed as a pirate! The 5k is a fundraiser for Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Uncompensated Care Program and will be followed by a community carnival with free treats, music and kids’ activities. Sat. Event details.

Carillon Point Outdoor Movies
Grab your blankets, low-back chairs and movie snacks and settle in for a showing of Finding Dory under the starry Kirkland skies. Arrive early to eat at one of the fab restaurants or grab a takeout meal and enjoy the water views. Plaza opens one hour prior to dusk for seating. Sat. Event details.
