This weekend, we’ve got a great lineup of fun things to do, see and hear around the city. On our radar: a huge cultural festival under the Needle, a beary good time at the zoo, a children’s clothing swap in West Seattle, a fun day on the trails, an all ages mountain bike extravaganza and a popular production with our favorite Dr. Seuss characters. If you’re looking for even more excitement, the Northwest Pinball & Arcade Show returns with more pinball and arcade action than ever before and the KidiMu 10th Birthday Bash will include with tons of free family fun.

Bear Affair: Living Northwest Conservation
Take your crew to Woodland Park Zoo to learn what steps you can take to bear-proof your campsite this summer. Plus, hear keeper talks, watch the bears, wolves and raptors receive special enrichment treats and learn what these Pacific Northwest animals need in order to survive in the wild and peacefully co-exist with humans. Children’s Clothing Swap
At this free event, swap your children’s too small items for new-to-you items and get information about local resources. Donations are not required to attend, but you are welcome to bring children’s clothing to swap (sizes preemie to 7T) as well as children’s shoes and books. Sat., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Seattle. Free. Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival
At this annual festival, learn all about the arts and culture of the Philippines through music, dance performances, craft booths, food, games, special exhibits, kids’ activities, martial art demonstrations and much more. Sat. & Sun., 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Seattle. Free. All Ages. Event details.


Seussical the Musical
In this latest Studio East production, see all your fave Dr. Seuss characters come to life on stage including The Cat in the Hat, Horton, Mayzie La Bird, Gertrude McFuzz and the Whos from Whoville. 2015 Evergreen Mountain Bike Festival
Take the whole fam to King County’s Duthie Hill Park to join riders of all ages and abilities for this all-day festival. In addition bike demos and more than 40 vendors, watch an awesome GHY Jump Jam by the pros, enjoy special events for kids, guided rides, skills clinics, raffle prizes and food concessions, plus check out the latest mountain biking gear and ride Duthie Hill’s trails. Sat., 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Issaquah. Free admission ($10-$20 to test ride bikes and participate in guided rides and skills clinics). All ages. Event details.  

National Trail’s Day & Letterboxing at Pioneer Park
Celebrate National Trails Day and learn all about letterboxing at this annual event. Kids can make their own stamp, pick up their clue book for the summer and hit the trails of Pioneer Park. Bonus: All Washington State Parks are free to visit on Saturday. Sat., 10 a.m.–noon. Mercer Island. Free. All ages. Event details.
