A work day for teachers, means an extra day to play. But what is there to do with your kid crew on these random in-service days, especially if it’s cold and rainy outside? We put together 15 tried-and-true destinations that are sure to entertain your brood any day of the week. Click through the gallery to see some perennial favorites and new-to-you hot spots.
McMenamin’s Anderson School Pool
Dive, splash, and swim the day away at McMenamin’s Anderson School pool. The North Lagoon Pool is a full-size swimming pool with comfy temperatures of 88-90 degrees. Admission gives you two hours of open swim fun. The pool is open to all ages, but children under 6 years old must have an adult in the water with them. Anyone under age 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the pool area. After a dip in the pool, visit one of the on-site restaurants or catch a flick on the big screen (check show times to make sure it’s kid-appropriate).
