Even if the weather outside is a tad too frightful to actually camp, pack up your crew anyway—minus the tent—and head out for a glamping meal you’ll never forget. Campfire, Carlsbad’s newest family-friendly restaurant, will make you feel like you’re camping without any of the work. Think airy-but-woodsy-vibe, fire-pits to keep warm and even a tipi for the kids to play in. Scroll down to get the details.

Pick Your Site
In spite of it’s open airy interior and plenty of outdoor seating, this eatery still has an intimate feel. You can dine at a small table or sit family style at tables large enough to accommodate everyone in your camping party. Inside, you’ll find windows to view the kitchen’s busy woodfire grill and the chefs hard at work. Parents in the know will request a table within view of the giant tipi outside. The kiddos can play while your relax with a local brew or signature house-made cocktail. You’ll also find outdoor fire pits where you can top off your meal with what else? S’mores!

Choose Your Feast
Friendly wait staff will help you navigate the fresh, seasonal (and ever-changing) menu, but you’ll always find a great selection of fish, local produce and more. Lunchtime highlights (at the time of this article) include the seasonal fish board; char grilled oysters and bread salad. Dinner brings flat iron steak; seafood pazole and more. Grown-ups will be pleased to find artisanal cocktails including a variety of fiery combos. The kid’s menu is a simplified version of the regular menu, with gooey grilled cheeses. Everyone will delight in the desserts, including s’mores macarons (all the delish, way less stickiness).

Little Bit of Glamp
Day or evening, this new hot spot is a perfect choice for your happy little campers. They’ll love the water served in a canteen, metal mugs and plenty of touches inside and out, where you (and they) will feel welcome and will leave well-fed. We recommend making a reservation.
