Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3 Watch your favorite Toy Story Characters dance, twirl and entertain in this all-new, high-energy ice spectacular. We parents fell in love with Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang over 15 years ago (we’re getting old, aren’t we?) and now our kids adore them, too. This fun Disney on Ice presentation will bring the magic of the movies to life. Sat., 11:00 am. Valley View Casino. $11 to $55. All ages. Event Details.
Chinese New Year Cultural Fair We’re fortunate to live in a diverse city where great cultural events take place regularly. On Sunday, celebrate the Year of the Dragon at the 30th annual Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair. Featuring lion and dragon dances, traditional Chinese music, taiko drumming, martial arts demos, a children’s craft area, food (yum!) and craft vendors, and more, you’ll eat, learn, and have fun. Don’t miss the lantern parade at 2:00 pm. Sun, 10:00 am. Downtown San Diego. Free. All ages. Event Details.
Crafty Saturday Kids who are in the mood to get crafty — and parents who are happy to let the mess take place somewhere other than their home! — should come to Lakeshore Learning Center for a crafty good time. This weekend, you can prepare for the change of seasons, however mild that change may be in San Diego, by making a groundhog puppet. Sat., 11:00 am. Lakeshore Learning, San Diego. Free. All ages. Event Details.
Food and Water Bowl XX Did someone mention the Super Bowl? Well, it’s not quite time for that, but for the cat-loving family, there is a bowl this weekend. This one features 450 exotic cats, a household pet competition, feline agility, rescue cat adoptions and more. Meow! Sat., 9:00 pm. Del Mar Fairgrounds. $7 to $9. All Ages. Event Details.
Family Day at the Park Keep it simple on Sunday with a park day. The City of Poway is hosting an afternoon of crafts and kids’ activities, suitable for children of all ages. Sun., 1:00 pm. Poway Community Park. Free. All ages. Event Details.
