Teaching kids where food comes from, why it matters, and how they can help change the world are lessons best learned on the farm! Coastal Roots “Farmers-in-Training” program for grades K-6 will enjoy hand-on science-based learning, arts and crafts, and fun in nature!

Little farmers will learn how food is grown, engage in science experiments with seeds and soil, and take part in “chores” like digging, weeding and harvesting. They’ll also do some cooking and crafts, like pressing flowers, drying herbs, painting, and making salads. Campers will join sing-alongs and story time, and have plenty of opportunities to engage in the mindful practice of listening to nature.

It’s the ideal time of year to join the farm fun!

Full and partial scholarships are readily available!

Coastal Roots offers month-long sessions, Mon./Wed. or Tues./Thurs, 1-4 p.m. with optional after-care 4-5 p.m. or 3-5 p.m.
