How the San Diego Writers Spent Their Summer Vacation

Ever wonder what the Red Tricycle team does when we’re not out exploring all the fun events and places to visit in San Diego? The writers kept very busy this summer season with some amazing adventures. From awesome vacations to swimming at the beach, to Comic-Con and the County Fair, our writers had a blast! This summer was an exciting and special one as it was the summer before my oldest started kindergarten! We enjoyed trips to the beach, multiple play-dates and several trips to Sea World. However, the highlight of our summer was our family vacation to the Colorado River in Arizona. Quite a few of our extended family was there and my kids really enjoyed spending time swimming and playing with their cousins. My husband and I tried in vain to wakeboard but we were able to rock the inner tube pretty well. We played cornhole and bocce ball and spent a lot of time on my uncle's boat. It was fantastic to be able to decompress and unplug from everyday life all while trying new things and enjoying quality family time. We came back from our trip exhausted but happy and filled with amazing memories of a wonderful summer!
