Littles (and parents) are jumping for joy over the new Kid Ventures at Liberty Station. This indoor play space makes kiddos feel like they’re walking into their favorite storybook where they get to be a hero. You’ll love the fact it’s a safe creative indoor play space, where parents enjoy a few perks too. From markets, fire engines and castles to drop-off playtime and tasty coffee, this tot spot rocks for the whole family. We’ve got your sneak peek at the just-opened Kid Ventures.

A Great Space
This well-lit, spacious, magical room has plenty of places to explore. Even when it’s busy, it never feels too crowded. The party rooms (two to be exact) are separate from the main play floor allowing for free-flowing fun and adventures galore.

Insider’s Tip: There is a cap on the number of families, but you can call in advance (think rainy day) and they will call you when a spot opens up.

Take a Little Breather
You’ll let out a little sigh of relief at the number of tables (they go all the way down). You can take a load off, have a latte or lunch (we recommend the panini) and still have a direct view of your little explorer. If your kiddo gets hungry, order up the tot-lunch that includes a sandwich, drink, fruit or veggie side, and animal cookies for only $5.50. If you’re not set on buying lunch, you’ll have to eat your snacks outside as Kid Ventures has a strict “no outside food” policy to keep the play space clean and safe for kids with food allergies.

Coming Soon: Drop-off Care
We’re super excited for The Drop, where the littles (pot-trained, of course) can be dropped off during certain hours and you can have a little free time (yep, it’s real). The best part of this little secret (that’s now out) is the drop-in yoga, gym and Trader Joe’s all just a small walk away. Now that’s something we’re talking about.

Calling Future Fire Fighters, Pirates and Princesses
Not only are the themes clever and contemporary — a fire truck, climbing wall, farmers market, Sprouts Cafe, Beyond the Bump, pirate ship, and castle (with two slides) — you’ll give two thumbs up to the costumes to try-on, bikes to roll-on, and animals to rock-on. Kids will appreciate the details they discover, such as a fire button that flows flames (fabric, of course) and say “Argh” for the pirates, who take over the ship and hoist the victory flag.

Add Some Art
You’ll nod approval at the artful activities (included in the price) that go on during the day. No need for sign-up, just listen for the bell to go ding-a-ling. Fun activities take place all day long, including creative coloring, shaving cream play, or just let them get the giggles out dancing to the disco ball. They even provide smocks in the party rooms for the arts and crafts.
