Getting outside to exercise can be hard enough, but throw in a few kids, stroller, and a Razr Scooter and it can sound like a task too daunting to even start. We know how tough it can be pushing the double stroller up a steep incline with the baby strapped to your chest. Luckily you don’t have to struggle anymore. We put together the best running (or walking) trails for families to use with ease (think flat land). Click through the slideshow to hit up these trails that will get your heart rate up and tire out your little ones at the same time.

Embarcadero

The addition of the Waterfront park and splash pad only adds to the draw of running path alongside the beautiful San Diego Harbor. Sure, it can get a bit crowded, but cruising by The Star of India and the USS Midway will give your little ones a brief history lesson, and for you a distraction of your elevated heart rate. Keep going and make sure you pass the famous "The Kiss" statue at the beginning of Seaport Village before turning around to complete the four-mile run. This bustling trail is a fantastic place to see some of the important landmarks San Diego has to offer all while logging in a solid cardio session. There is plenty of parking in this area, but most is metered ($1.50 - $2 per hour), and most take credit cards.
