World of Orchids
Immerse yourself in the beauty of orchids throughout the month of April, Weds.-Sun. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and select days until 8 p.m. The Dickinson Family Education Conservatory at the San Diego Botanic Garden will be transformed into a World of Orchids! Orchids will be featured from the San Diego County Orchid Society and Palomar Orchid Society members’ personal collections, along with selected plants from commercial nurseries, all on display in full bloom in the tropical Conservatory. Enjoy orchids from all corners of the world. Specialty specimens, unique cultivars and rare plants will be on stunning display. Visit Walt’s Magical Railroad
The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is excited to share that The Carolwood Pacific: Walt’s Magical Railroad exhibition is still on view in the museum for visitors to see! Walt Disney’s Carolwood Barn, located in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park, tells the story of Walt’s love of the railroad and how this lifelong fascination influenced his creativity.
