Chuao’s Spring Egg-citement
Hop on over to Chuao Chocolatier for an egg-stra joyful time! Enjoy a day filled with activities, face painting and an egg hunt. Perfect for kids 12 and younger, but all ages are welcome. Parents may accompany child for free, being responsible for whatever your child consumes to be aligned with their needs and/or medical restrictions. Chuao Chocolatier is a peanut free facility, but they do manufacture in a space that uses tree nuts, wheat, and soy. Tickets for this event are $25/child and must be purchased in advance. Easter Bunny Teas at the Westgate Hotel
On Apr. 19 & 20, The Westgate will transform its traditional Parisian-style afternoon tea service into its annual springtime Easter Bunny Teas. This special Easter edition will feature a scrumptious selection of house-made sweet delicacies, kid-friendly petit-fours, delicious tea sandwiches, and pastries. After this splendid tea service, families are invited to participate in a colorful egg hunt on the Riviera Terrace followed by an exciting magic show that stars the Easter Bunny. Fri. & Sat. Balboa Park

Spring Fling Food Truck Festival
Balboa Park is the place to be for one of the family-friendliest spring break events in town. From Apr. 15-19, the Spring Fling Food Truck Festival serves up more than a dozen of San Diego’s most popular food trucks along the El Prado walkway from noon-7 p.m. Live bands and dancers will perform on the Plaza de Panama stage starting at 4 p.m., and various park and community organizations will host free hands-on activities for families on select dates. There will also be a rotating selection of games and activities on the Plaza, including giant checkers, hula hoops, bowling, cornhole, and giant tumbling blocks. On all five days of the festival, the Balboa Park Visitors Center in the House of Hospitality building is holding prize drawings for a chance to win a Family 4-Pack of general admission tickets to various Balboa Park museums and attractions. The San Diego Zoo is hosting its annual spring event, Yaycation! In addition to all the Zoo offers daily, visitors may enjoy fun Yaycation activities such as special animal experiences and entertainment. Kids will delight in seeing Dr. Zoolittle, the Easter Bunny, Smallfoot in 4D, treasure hunts and much more. Fri.-Sun. Event details.


Spring Party with Bunny at San Diego Botanic Garden
Children are invited to meet our gentle bunny for a photo op, decorate their own bunny ears, and get a bunny face paint during this fun springtime event. You can also visit real bunnies in a petting zoo, plant a spring flower to take home, and make some colorful spring crafts. At 12:30 pm, the Garden’s big bunny will lead a parade through the Native Plant Native People Trail. Passes will be sold for participation in activities on the day of the event for $15 per child. Fee Free Day at Cabrillo National Monument
Celebrate the first day of National Park Week! On this date, the entrance fee is waived at Cabrillo National Monument. There are only a few days a year this occurs. The fee waiver includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise. Belmont Park’s Easter Bash
Belmont Park, San Diego’s iconic beachfront amusement park, presents the seventh annual Easter Bash at Belmont Park kicking off at 8 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 21st. The all-day event will be jam-packed from park to boardwalk with egg hunts, free activities for children, an Easter Bunny photo op, live music and entertainment; Plus, brunch on the boardwalk will be offered at the beachfront restaurants.
