Red Bull Air Race World Championship
The Red Bull Air Race World Championship features the world’s best race pilots in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, pilots navigate a low-level aerial track made up of air-filled pylons 82 feet high at speeds of up to 230 mph! For the San Diego stop, the track will be set up directly over the water in San Diego Bay. Spectators can take in the high-speed, low-flying action from the North or South Embarcadero Marina Parks. San Diego Symphony Plays Music from The Wizard of Oz While You Watch the Film
“Follow the yellow brick road” to Copley Symphony Hall to watch the classic film The Wizard of Oz. Rumor has it that this year’s Easter egg hunt at Poway Community Park will have more prizes and festivities than ever! Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt
Little bunnies on the spectrum or those who experience sensory sensitivities will feel particularly comfortable at this sensory-friendly egg hunt with free open play afterwords. Treats will be served and there will be crafts and face painting as well. Bring your camera for pics with the Easter Bunny. Come and have breakfast with Peter Cottontail at “The Williams Barn” in Walnut Grove Park. After breakfast, at 10:15 a.m., toddlers through 5th graders are invited to the community “Spring Egg Scramble” egg hunt where 10,000 prize-filled eggs will be hidden by the bunny himself! Encinitas Spring Easter Egg Hunt
Hop to it at this beloved Easter Egg Hunt festival in Encinitas! Have your little bunnies bring their own basket to fill with eggs, then stick around after the hunt to play at the park. This year’s hunt boasts 20,000 eggs and there will also be two live shows from Hulabaloo at 10:45 a.m. & 11:45 a.m. Note: On-site parking is limited. Find additional parking at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas lower parking lots, accessed off of Devonshire Drive. Sat. Event details.

Spring Party with Botanic Garden Bunny
San Diego Botanic Garden’s Spring Party with Bunny brings all of the quintessential spring themes to one place. Kids will create a variety of spring-themed crafts, including making their own bunny ears to wear at the party, and getting their face painted with a pink nose and whiskers to match. Partygoers will also receive their own beautiful flowering plant in a pot to take home. You can also take a photo with the gentle big bunny! At 12:30, the big bunny will lead a parade through the Native Plant Native People Trail. Note: There are a limited number of passes available for this event and it’s first come, first served. Sat. ACT Today! 5k/10k Run/Walk & Family Festival
Help raise money for military children with autism. Enjoy a flat, scenic course starting at Tecolote Shores Park in Mission Bay. Choose between the 5k, 10k (both chip-timed) or 1-mile-fun run. Cross the finish-line and celebrate at the festival featuring live music, ONEHOPE wine & beer garden, 35+ booths and an awesome kids’ zone with bounce houses, carnival games and arts and crafts. Join the post-race party which includes music and entertainment. There is a beer and wine tent and Kids’ Zone sponsored by Center for Autism & Related Disorders. The kids zone features a Quiet Zone (10×20 enclosed tent staffed by ABA therapists for children needing a quiet space), inflatable, carnival games with prizes, face painting, art & crafts and fitness area. Belmont’s Easter Bash
An egg-strordinary egg hunt indeed! There will be 12,000 eggs on the beach and throughout the park along with 25 Golden Eggs hidden among them. The Mission Beach egg hunts take place from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in time slots divided by age group. The Amusement Park egg hunt starts at 1 p.m. and kids can hunt for eggs between the shops and in the park. From 2-4 p.m. little ones can pose with the Easter Bunny in a free photo-op. Sun.
