San Diego Kids Weekend Events: April 8-10

Spring is in full bloom in San Diego with so many different events that are outdoors and in tune with nature. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, check out the Earth Day Festival at Alta Vista Gardens. Do some good for the community in a downtown cleanup. Or enjoy all-things strawberry at Suzie’s Farm Strawberry Jam festival. Whether you’re looking for indoor fun or outdoor adventures, there’s something for everyone in San Diego this weekend!

San Diego Civic Youth Ballet “Coppelia”

Downtown Neighborhood Cleanup
There is nothing better than giving back to your community! Let’s roll up our sleeves and collect trash and debris for the Downtown Neighborhood Clean-Up! Strawberry Jam
Strawberry Jam is a fun, family-oriented festival celebrating everyone’s favorite ruby-red fruit that you can harvest from the field. KPBS Kids’ Workshop: Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood
Join San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum for the KPBS Kids Workshops featuring Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood workshop, which fosters discovery, cooperation, and friendship. Let’s work together to make new friends and leave a lasting art “print” on our community. Special visit by a costume character. ArtFest at San Diego Botanic Garden

Healthy Living Festival

Earth Day Festival at Alta Vista Gardens
Connect with nature and go green at this fun event with active outdoor play for the kiddos, live music, a plant sale, vendors and food for sale. Activities for kids include planting, facepainting, recycled art, hands-on worms, crafts, painting “Earth Day Rocks!,” games,  and a fun-filled visit to the Children’s Garden.  Experience our nine newly-installed Ricardo Breceda sculptures, starting with the slithering Serpent for the children. SmART Festival
Community artists and performing arts groups join with teachers and students in the classroom to provide visual and performing arts experiences.
