Festival of Sail
The Maritime Museum of San Diego will transform the North Embarcadero into a nautical theme park for the largest Tall Ship festival on the west coast. More than 20 tall ships and other vessels from around the world will be visiting San Diego. In addition, there will be live entertainment, a petting zoo, vendors, food, cannon battles, cruises on San Diego Bay, and more. Sand Sculpting Challenge
Take a peak at some of the best sand sculpting around the country. Thousands have come each year to see master-class sculptors build beautiful 3-dimensional works of art. Venture out to the 42nd Annual Barona Powwow. Since its inception in 1970, the Tribal celebration has grown into a three-day event featuring traditional dances, singing and music, a hand drum contest, authentic Native American food and exquisite handcrafted arts and jewelry. Festival of the Children
The 11th annual Festival of Children — a free, community-wide charity outreach event held in conjunction with National Child Awareness Month — shines the light on the amazing work done by more than 75 nonprofits in Costa Mesa. More than 100 stage and hands-on activities are planned, including ballet, arts and crafts, jugglers, puppeteers and amazingly talented dancers and singers from our local schools.
