Dances of Love & Laughter
San Diego Ballet will inspire romance at the Lyceum Theatre in their performance Dances of Love and Laughter Valentine’s Day weekend. On the bill is the company and San Diego premiere of “Voices of Spring,” choreography by Royal Ballet’s Frederick Ashton, as well as an assortment of SD Ballet’s favorite romantic and charming pieces with music by Nat King Cole, Roberta Flack, Rachmaninoff and more. The performance will also include Artistic Director Javier Velasco’s take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Friday and Saturday shows will be at 8 p.m., and the Sunday show at 2:30 p.m. Senior, military, and student discounts available. Public Girl Scout Sleepover

Paw Walk in the Garden
San Diego Botanic Garden is partnering with Rancho Coastal Humane Society for their 8th Annual 5K Paw Walk in the Garden. Both organizations benefit from this great event. Dogs and their human friends follow a scenic route through the 37-acre garden. There will be pet products, food (for people), treats (for dogs), lots of great information for dog lovers, and (of course) dogs and puppies. Taking place from 2:30-4:40 p.m. on Feb. 16, Climate Clash is the go to professional wrestling event for all who wish to employ a different perspective on the issue of climate change. Free to all of the public to attend, endangered species wrestle against those who oppose their strength in an effort to give voice to all endangered species.
