Most of you are probably spending Friday enjoying fireworks and patriotic parades. But when the fireworks end, there’s plenty of other events around San Diego. Take advantage of Free Fishing Day. Free Fishing Day
Take advantage of Free Fishing Day from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. Today is the only day you can fish without a fishing license. Sat., All day, Various fishing spots around town, Free. All ages. Event details.

Catamaran Summer Luau
This summer tradition is a festive celebration of Polynesian food, music, and dances perfect for family and friends. Enjoy a true luau experience that includes a lei, Mai Tai, all-you-can-eat buffet, and entertainment. Friday Night Liberty on Saturday
Bring out the whole family for this special holiday event featuring open artist studios, galleries, shopping and entertainment throughout NTC at Liberty Station’s Arts & Culture District in Point Loma. There will be 20+ galleries, museums and artists studios; cake to celebrate Barracks 19 5th anniversary; live music; and four food trucks. Sat., 1 – 8 p.m., NTC at Liberty Station, Free. San Diego County Fair
Come have fun at the last weekend of the Fair!  The 2015 San Diego County Fair promises a summer of fun and is the largest annual event in San Diego County and the fourth largest fair in North America. San Marcos ArtWalk

SuperWild: Discovering Animal Super Powers
Discover the amazing world of animal super powers at the Living Coast Discovery Center’s new seasonal exhibit. Get up close and personal with creatures that walk on walls, possess super strength, are invisible to the naked eye, and can even regenerate limbs – all natural adaptations that help them survive in the wild. Celebrate 4th of July at Pretend City
Come celebrate USA’s birthday the kid’s way! Before the fireworks light up the sky, visit Pretend City as these Independence Day festivities will celebrate life, liberty, and the pursuit of fun!
