If you’re looking for family fun this first official weekend of summer, there’s no shortage of events in San Diego. Spend some time on the water at the San Diego International Boat Show. San Diego International Boat Show
This event features 150 boats in-water and on-land in a festive family-friendly seaside atmosphere, and is THE place to see and experience everything that boating has to offer, with hands-on activities, including a chance to Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) and take a variety of boating courses on-land or in-water. Hello Kitty’s Supercute Friendship Festival
The iconic Hello Kitty is hitting the shores of San Diego this summer. Your Kawaii kids will be able to meet this pint sized cat along with her Dear Daniel, My Melody, Pompom Purin at the Hello Kitty Supercute Friendship Festival. Going beyond a traditional live stage show, this event will have a festival like atmosphere with live performance over multi stages, dancing, animation, art, cute photo opportunities and even event exclusive Hello Kitty collectables. Father’s Day Art and Pizza Making
Pachis art studio for kids and Solare Italian Ristorante are teaming up this Father’s Day to bring dads and kids together for a morning of art and pizza making. La Jolla Festival of the Arts
This festival features more than 200 award-winning artists, along with live chalk art creations, art performances, delicious and healthy cuisines, adult beverage libations, and live entertainment throughout the weekend. AirShow San Diego
Enjoy the festival that commemorates the 70th anniversary of American’s triumph in World War II, and salutes veterans and all they’ve done. Attractions include warbird rides, a static display of more than 70 vintage antiques, a free Kids Zone, classic cards, vendors and more. Sat. – Sun., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Gillespie Field, Free. All ages.
