Follow an eclectic group of six tweens on their hilarious musical journey to realize their dreams of becoming the spelling bee champion! Fraught with the woes of puberty, the nerdy and the wordy struggle to become the best, but ultimately learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Festival
You and your crew can get dressed up and enjoy this St. Patrick’s Day Parade which is the largest Parade west of the Mississippi! You’ll see over 120 parade entries including colorful floats, dance troupes and high school marching bands beginning at Fifth Ave. at Laurel St. After the Parade, head over to the Irish Festival in Balboa Park for more live entertainment on three stages, Irish Step dancers and Irish folk singers, craft booths, a Celtic Food Village, a Beer Garden and a Kids Zone. What a fun-filled cultural experience for your whole clan! Family Days at The Nat
Join The Nat for monthly Family Days to celebrate the natural world and their Museum. Each month has been uniquely themed to allow visitors to explore nature’s wonders, participate in hands-on activities and create crafts to take home. Themes range from studying whales to junior botany. This Sunday’s theme is Flower Power. Kids can become junior botanists and learn the science of plants while growing and dissecting seeds and making plant-inspired crafts to take home. Sun. Event details.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live
The legacy of the beloved “Mister Rogers Neighborhood” lives on with the award-winning television series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, from The Fred Rogers Company and PBS KIDS. Now, Daniel and his friends are hopping aboard the trolley to delight live audiences with Daneil Tiger’s Neighborhood Live! Donning his iconic red sweater, Daniel invites the audience on an interactive musical adventure as he and his friends explore their much-loved Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Through the show’s familiar themes and music, the neighbors share stories of friendship, helping others and celebrating new experiences in this live theatrical production filled with singing, dancing, laughter and “grr-ific” surprises that will warm the hearts of multiple generations. Puppy Love 5K
The 9th annual Puppy Love 5K is for the whole family, so bring the kids and pups and enjoy the expansive bay view! Timed runners will complete the race as fast as they can, or register to walk and stroll around the beautiful bay. Leprechaun Run
The team that brings you San Diego Santa Run is excited to bring the Inaugural Leprechaun Run this St. Patrick’s Day to Pacific Beach! Get ready to wear your green and take over Garnet Ave. and Cass St.! The Kids 1K Fun Run will take place after the Leprechaun Run 5K. The run will start at 10:30 a.m. and will run on Garnet Ave. Parents are welcome to run alongside their kids during the run. Iron Horse Family Steampunk Carnivale
