Happy (and hoppy!) Easter weekend! We’ve got the scoop on where all the good egg hunts are and where to celebrate with everything from animal encounters to brunches, the Easter Bunny, Padres games, a family swim night and more! Read on for the details!
Farm Animal Fridays
Come learn about and meet a new animal on the last Friday of every month! You’ll get an opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals, hear a special storytime, and participate in a themed craft or activity. Free with museum admission which is $8/person. This Friday’s theme is bees! Learn about the buzzing insects in a kid-friendly way by viewing an enclosed observation hive. Fri. Event details.
Spring Party With Botanic Garden Bunny
Children are invited to meet the Garden’s gentle bunny for a photo op, decorate their own bunny ears and get a bunny face paint during this fun springtime event. You can also visit real bunnies in a petting zoo, plant a spring flower to take home, and make some colorful spring crafts. At 12:30 p.m., the big bunny will lead a parade through the Native Plant Native People Trail. Note: There are a limited number of passes available for this event and it’s first come, first served. Encinitas Spring Egg Hunt
It’s all about the kids! The City of Encinitas presents its annual Easter Egg Hunt. Adding to the fun in addition to the 20,000 eggs, this year there are two live shows from Hullabaloo on-stage at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Pack a picnic and make a day of it and enjoy Encinitas Community Park. Children’s Spring Festival & Egg Hunt
This hoppy egg hunt is especially for kids in third grade and younger. The hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. for dozens of plastic eggs filled with treats. Bring your own basket. After the hunt enjoy games and refreshments until noon. Sat. Event details.
Spring Egg Scramble & Breakfast with Peter Cottontail
Come and have breakfast with Peter Cottontail. Bring the whole crew to this early morning pancake chow-down. Toddlers through 5th graders are welcome to join the egg hunt, where eggs with prizes will be well hidden by the bunny himself! Sat. Event details.
Easter Brunch with the Beasts
Head to Wild Wonders for some Easter fun. They’ll have a tasty brunch with items to please both parents and kids, along with surprise visits from some animal ambassadors. The Easter egg hunt starts at 11 a.m., with lots of eggs filled with goodies hidden around the lower lawn area, just waiting to be discovered by the little ones. Family Swim Night

Belmont’s Easter Bash
Celebrate Easter and three different egg hunts at Belmont Park, on the beach, at the park, or at the stores later in the day. 12,000 fun-filled eggs plus 25 with cool surprises.
