The Museum of What Love Tour is a non-traditional pop-up museum, featuring an array of blissful exhibits that will inspire guests to live, laugh, & love. Cardiff Beach Shorebirds Tour
Hit the beach for bird life. As the high tide rises at Cardiff State Beach, be on the lookout for birds of all shapes, patterns and sizes. Cardiff State Beach is like a buffet for birds who dive, probe, soar and rest from the sandy shores, the wrack line and over the ocean. Tour is led by birder Steve Brad, who specializes in birding photography and has entertained Conservancy audiences this winter in the San Diego coastline birding series. Sat. Event details.

River Kids Discovery Days
Join the San Diego River Park Foundation for the 5th Annual River Kids Discovery Days – two days of nature, fun and learning for kids! Families and groups from across San Diego can participate in a free two-day celebration of the San Diego River, featuring nature fun for youth and their families! Choose from a variety of volunteer projects and outdoor education opportunities to give your kids a leading role in protecting our natural resources and creating green spaces for the community! A variety of events will take place in Julian, Santee, Mission Valley, Tierrasanta, Bay Park and Ocean Beach. RSVP required. Pop Tour 2019: Light Years Away
The year is 2068. Having discovered a new inhabitable planet named YOLO 6, NASA sponsors a contest to discover who should be chosen to live on this new world, and three 5th graders are up for the challenge! They embark on a storytelling journey, learning about the real problems, as well as the real beauty in their current world and what they think should be created in the next. Through their new-found friendship, this individual mission turns them into a team of thinkers ready to lift off on a new path. Audiences will get an opportunity to decide who gets to go to YOLO 6, launching them on their own voyage to dream bigger and celebrate teamwork. Sat. & Sun. Event details.
Family Fun Day at Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead
Interested in a fun family weekend? Join SDRVC for an interactive day at the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead. Participants (ages 7–12) will learn what it was like to be a pioneering family. Discover how the people lived through farming, trading and caring for animals that provide food and milk and the importance of the natural environment in daily living. As a part of our Watershed Explorers Program, families are encouraged to participate as a whole! Meet at Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead at 9-11 a.m. Please wear closed toed shoes, pants and a jacket in case of inclement weather. It is also recommended to bring water and a snack. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live!
Come see Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live! – King for a Day. The grr-ific musical for little tigers and grown-ups alike is back with an all-new show. The popular Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live!, based on the PBS TV series, is in its third year of touring. The beloved characters are hopping back on board the trolley as Daniel learns just what it takes to be King. It’s an event filled with tigertastic fun, teaching the valuable lessons of kindness, helping others, and being a friend. Festival of Whales
Every Mar., 40-50 whales pass by Dana Point each day, earning its reputation as the “Whale Capital of the West.” Take in the city’s annual Festival of Whales, which includes whale watching boat tours and a whole host of other activities for kids of all ages. Browse art shows featuring works from local award-winning artists and high school art students or watch the 4th annual Cardboard Classic & Dinghy Dash featuring a beach of captains racing in the harbor with nothing but a paddle and their cardboard ships. Budding artists can help to paint a life-sized whale, and if you’re feeling lucky, compete in the Diamond Dig and to search for buried treasure ranging from toys and prizes to one beautiful piece of diamond jewelry. 7th Annual Mariachi Festival
The 7th Annual International Mariachi Festival builds community by bringing together families and civic partners to celebrate Mexico’s rich diversity, talent, and culture through a vibrant display of musical and artistic performances. This event has become a South Bay tradition and tourism driver, simultaneously celebrating mariachi music, youth development, and economic prosperity on both sides of the US- Mexico Border. VIP tickets ($50) include seating in VIP lounge with Bay views, three drink tickets, photo opportunities, complimentary food between 1–5 p.m. and a Meet and Greet with performers.
