St. Patrick’s Day is on March 17, but it’s an especially eventful weekend in SD because the San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering begins on Saturday. Balboa Park is hosting one of the science week kickoffs on Saturday afternoon. While you’re there, walk over to the Air & Space Museum for paper airplane fun. On Sunday, you can bend light with the Girl Scouts or learn all about bugs. And if all of this science talk is just too much, head to Del Mar for the Head to Toe Women’s Expo, where you can spend a day making it all about you, Mom!

We didn’t forget about St. Patty’s Day! If you want the 4-1-1 on the local lucky happenings, check out our Guide to St. Patrick’s Day in San Diego.
