The fun and interactive Fall Garden Festival takes place at The Water Conservation Garden. Girls can get their science on at the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center. Participate in the Run/Walk for Hope in Mission Bay. Or honor the nation’s veterans at the Solana Beach Veteran’s Day Celebration.
Girls in grades 5 – 8 can join the Fleet on to investigate exciting science topics. Prepare for lift-off aboard the Nierman Challenger Learning Center. The day will include a 5k Run/Walk, diaper dash for kids under 6, health and wellness expo, family friendly band, kid’s play zone, food from various San Diego restaurants, and a silent auction. Miracle Babies is a local non-profit that helps qualified families meet their basic expenses and avert financial disaster due to having a child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Moms will enjoy an array of local and regional exhibitors with everything from essentials to a fairytale of luxuries and indulgences for stylish gals, moms, tots. Honor Veteran’s Day with the City of Solana Beach and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5431 at the 2012 Veterans Day Ceremony. Some highlights of the ceremony include the Col. Frank Brezina Venture Scout Crew #42 as Color Guard, the Santa Fe Christian School Band, Camp Pendleton Young Marines, and a special guest speaker who will address the community. The San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory (SDYS) presents two special concerts each year to honor the dedicated music educators in our region and celebrate the importance of music education in the lives of our youth and the entire community.
