From pirates to lemonade to classic street fair fun, there’s no shortage of events happening around town. Head to Seaport Village for its first annual Landlubbers Day where kids can participate in all-things pirate! Sample lemon recipes and have fun playing by the waterfront at the Lemon “Aid” festival downtown. Drive to Coronado for Fleet Week and check out the Naval ships. Landlubbers Day
Seaport Village is hosting Landlubbers Day, a festive celebration of all things pirate! The free event features live music from the Jackstraws, San Diego’s own pirate-themed band; a “Talk Like a Pirate” and costume contest; arts and crafts; and pirate’s booty food and drink specials from the Seaport Village eateries. Fleet Week Coronado Speed Festival
The event features fast-paced, thrilling auto racing and exhibitions for car enthusiasts of all ages at Naval Air Station North Island, the birthplace of Naval Aviation. Nowhere else can you see a variety of cars racing on a live runway used by the U.S. Navy. This is the only Navy Open House on the West Coast.
