Superhero Scramble
Super fams will love this elite obstacle course. Parents can tackle 4 miles of wicked terrain or join their Super Kids in a 1 mile obstacle course race. For super active individuals, there’s different waves of varying intensity, making it a perfect family affair. It’s an all day event in Temecula that supports real life superheroes like veterans, firefighters, armed forces and more.

Hot Chocolate Run
The name of this run should already have your kids dashing for the door. America’s sweetest race is also a 5K and 15K fundraiser and awareness event for hospitalized children, so you can opt to go the extra mile and personalize a fundraising page. There’s even a post race party where you can also enjoy some chocolate fondue, dippable snacks and more! If you do sign up, remember to stop by the Expo to pick up your race day bib and goodie bag (cocoa samples galore!). No strollers or furry friends allowed, so remember to read their FAQ.

The YAD Superhero 5K
Dress up as your favorite superhero and soar through the course with the speed of Superman at this 5K run/walk. Put together by the Jewish Federation of San Diego, the Superhero 5K will make your little one a happy walker as they see their favorite heroes get together for a great cause. There’s even a BBQ, a family fun 1K walk to help digest and an after party at the Stone Brewery Liberty Station.

The Neon Run
For an exhilarating, glowing experience unlike any other, bring your family to a night of illuminated running. Schoolyard Dash
Pacific Beach school kids and parents unite at this inaugural schoolyard fundraiser dash. Your family can run, walk or play for 5K (or 1 mile for the kids) to enjoy the sights and breeze along the Mission Bay running path. Every runner will take home a finisher’s medal, and at the end of the race, families can enjoy a nice brunch at De Anza Cove. Strollers welcomed!

Miracle Babies
Support in need families who have a newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit by bringing your own tiny miracles for a full day of activities, local food and a health and wellness expo! You’ll be running along the waters from Embarcadero Marina South all the way to Dead Mans Point. Diaper dashers won’t be left out either, there’s a World Kid’s Play Zone where they can crawl to their heart’s content.

Moon God Full Moon
Take this chance to tour the UCSD campus and some of their giant outdoor art pieces at night! Runners and waddlers will race on paved roads and sidewalks to the finish line where there’ll be music and food. This 5K race is limited to 250 participants and all proceeds go towards UCSD student leadership programs. Plus, kids will love the glow bracelets that come with each registration.

Summer Bonus: Color Fun Fest
Bring culture, tradition and exciting exercise together with your family at the 5K Color Fun Fest! This run combines electronic dance movement and the Holi Festival with a full day to night race to the finish line. Along the course are 5 color stations with pounds of color to shower runners, black lights and visual effects for the night runners and water stations to hydrate the young ones. The ‘colors’ are made of vibrant food-grade corn starch that won’t stain the skin, but definitely will mark up your shirts!
