In addition, the event will include an opportunity drawing to benefit the SD Center for Children, featuring special items donated by authors and publishers. Three Wishes
This humorous, old fairy tale has been told through the years in many countries and has many versions. A poor old man and his wife foolishly waste three wishes granted to them by a fairy. They are surprised by what they got and come to realize they were better off before the wishes. Also features a dramatized poem about a young boy who imagines  heroically slaying a dragon. Pancake Breakfast
The Greater Encinitas Kiwanis Club and the City of Encinitas Parks and Rec Youth Basketball League have partnered up once again. Enjoy a special appearance by Captain Book and yummy pancakes. Admission includes pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice. This fundraiser supports the Encinitas Youth Basketball League and the Captain Book Literacy program. Cardiff Kook Run
