Does your little beach-loving Moana or Maui need a break from the sun? We’ve found a variety of places where you can explore ocean treasures a bit away from shore. Delightful new exhibits abound––from drawing their own sea creature art that comes alive, to being immersed in a cube of bioluminescence, let your little Nemos take the plunge into sea-inspired learning. Click through our slideshow to see where to wonder about what’s beneath the waves.

New Children’s Museum

Inspire an awe of the ocean in your little ones as they engage with the beautiful, amazing art exhibit Sketch Aquarium. They won’t believe their eyes as the sea creature they design on paper comes to life and “swims” with all the other creatures after it is scanned and projected onto a wall-sized, moving aquarium. The creators behind Sketch Aquarium hope the exhibit will help all who participate to connect with the art on a personal level and give them a greater appreciation for the ocean and its creatures.
