New brands, a new look, and a Chip and Joanna Gaines collab, oh my! From renovations to new product lines, 2017 brought some awesome changes to every parent’s favorite place to wander aisles and purchase things we never knew we needed. We’ve rounded up all the ways Target totally blew our minds this year, scroll down to see them all.

1. Target Re-Designs Its Store Layout

Early in 2017, Target announced that its stores would be getting a major makeover. The highlights include two separate entrances, one for quick trips so you can avoid lingering when you need to shop and dash, and one for those times when you're on your own and actually want to shop for hours. The beauty aisle at Target got a touch-up with a Sephora-style shopping experience, and last, but most certainly not least, the renovation features drive-up service.

2. The Chip and Joanna Gaines Collaboration

One of the most awesome ways Target blew us away this year was with the launch of Magnolia Hearth and Hand, a collab with design gurus Chip and Joanna Gaines. Thanks to this match made in home decor heaven, you can have your farmhouse reno with a price tag you can actually afford. The line, which will continue to roll out new items in the new year, features home accessories, kitchenware, toys, and more.

3. Target Introduces New Clothing Lines

2017 marked the launch of several new brands for Target. The introduction of several clothing brands includes A New Day, a women’s day-to-night line, Goodfellow & Co., a menswear line, and Toca Boca for the kids. The Isabel Maternity by Ingrid & Isabel line helps moms to still feel stylish during and after pregnancy. The company also launched a new pet product line, Wit & Delight, that features beds, bowls, and of course cozy dog sweaters.

4. Target Now Has a Shopping App

In partnership with Pinterest, Target shoppers can now use Pinterest Lens to shop for the exact items they're looking for by matching things available in-store or online to whatever picture they snap. Target also rolled out a new Augmented Reality Tool that lets you see exactly what that new armchair or table will look like in your house before buying it.

5. Cat & Jack Offers Sensory-Friendly & Adaptive Apparel

This year, Cat & Jack got even more progressive with the additions of sensory-friendly and adaptive apparel. The sensory-friendly line has special features like being tagless and embellishment free, and the adaptive apparel makes life easier for everyone, especially parents, by including things like zip-off sleeves, hidden openings that allow for easier diaper access, and footless sleepwear. 

6. Kid Snacks Will Be Free of Artificial Colors & Sweeteners by 2018.

Food also took a stand at Target this year, with the company making a vow that its store-brand kid snacks (including Target-owned brands Simply Balanced and Market Pantry) would be free of artificial colors and sweeteners by 2018. 

7. Target Launches New Wine for $5

The new California Roots label debuted at stores at the end of summer with five varietals to choose from, including a Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscato, and a Red Blend. Although the blends are crafted with premium California grapes, every bottle is just $5. Cheers to that!
