Shopping at Target just got Pinteresting. Yes, that’s right. Pinteresting. Target and Pinterest are teaming up to make it super-simple to find the “just right” products that you need. How is this possible? Check out what you need to know about this fantastically fab partnership between two of your absolute favorites.

The new Pinterest Lens is helping Target shoppers through visual search technology. Okay, we’re not going to bore you with the techy low-down on this new app service. So, here’s a basic breakdown.

Instead of typing search terms into Target’s website, take a picture. Oh, this doesn’t mean that you need to take the picture in your local Target store. Nope. Take the inspiration from anywhere. The visual search will then spit out a list of perfectly curated products that match your pic. Sounds easy, right?

Pinterest Lens has been in use (in beta) on Pinterest for more than a few months now. All you need to do is point the lens at what you want and watch as similar items pop up on Pinterest. And now the same idea applies to Target, too.

Senior Vice President of Media and Guest Engagement ay Target, Kristi Argyilan, says, “Now, Target’s excited to take our partnership to the next level. We’ll be the first — and exclusive — U.S. retailer to bring Pinterest Lens directly into our apps and experiences, creating an incredibly rich and much easier way for our guests to explore, discover and buy millions of products at Target.”
