You don’t have to be a complete techy to get excited about the CES 2018 awesomeness that’s been going on. With innovations galore, this year’s conference has a little something for everyone — including parents. And if your New Year’s resolutions included upping your parenting game, you need to check these rad gadgets out right now.
Kolibree Magik Smart Toothbrush: Make brushing fun for the kiddos with this AR toothbrush game. Seriously. The toothbrush has sensors that detect where it’s positioned in your child’s mouth to make sure he’s brushing correctly.
Misfit Path: It’s a smartwatch that looks totally old school. The analog design may make it look like your grandma’s timepiece, but this watch does so much more. Along with tracking the steps you’re taking, it also monitors the calories you’re burning and how much you sleep. You can also get calls, texts and app notifications from your phone, too. Oh, and when it launches this spring it comes with a lower-than-you’d-expect price tag of $150!
Raven: Between the morning rush hour, driving home and all the carpool turns that you take, you spend most of your life in the car. If the gizmos and gadgets that come in some of the newest (and priciest) cars seem out of your reach, fear not. Just put the Raven on your dashboard and you’ve got an instant WiFi hotspot, GPS, video cameras and security system.
Sony Aibo: It’s new, it’s improved and it’s kind of adorable. The robotic dog can stream video, nuzzle up to you and will learn how to recognize your family. Sadly, the fab not-so-furry AI friend is only available in Japan right now.
Project Nursery Smart Baby Monitor System with Alexa: The video monitor does much more than let you listen to or look at your baby as she naps. Along with the two-way audio and night vision camera, you can give the system commands (such as, “Record video”) and it listens.
