Forget “playing” dress-up. Your sidekick sports her creative get-up anywhere and everywhere. Because for her, pretend play isn’t reserved for playtime; it’s a way of life. Celebrate her super-sized imagination at museums and parks that take it to the next level. Flip through to find spots where your kiddo can dream of being president, take to the seas pirate style, go on safari and more!

Go Wild at San Diego Zoo Safari Park – Escondido, Ca.

Kids can pretend they’re on a real African Safari at this 1,800-acre wildlife park north of San Diego. Prefer your animal-viewing on wheels? Try the caravan or tram safaris, which allow you to cut through the terrain by truck or tram. Want to see the sights by air? Go for the hot air balloon or zipline safaris. Of course, walking works, too. Just be sure to bring lots of sunblock and make time to cool off at the water play area, where your own little animals can splash the day away.
