Any parent will tell you that when it comes to camping with kids, the right gear will make or break you. But all that stuff you only use a few times a year takes up a lot of precious storage space. What’s a family to do? Enter, Camp Crate. They’ll supply everything you need for your trek, and you won’t need to worry about rearranging your closet when you get back. Scroll down to find out how they are changing the family camping game, one box at a time.

How It Works

The idea is simple. Each crate includes a headlamp, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, backpack, water filter, tent and a camp stove. Simply select your campsite, near or far, select your dates, and provide a shipping address (home or intended destination). Then, Camp Crate will pack up all the gear and send it your way. You can choose from a regular crate or a couples crate. For families, Camp Crate will combine two couples crates with an additional regular crate.

The Fine Print

Each time the gear goes out and comes back, it’s thoroughly washed and inspected. If it’s not up to Camp Crate’s standard upon return, it’s replaced with new stuff. There’s a three-day minimum to book a crate, and you’ll receive a 50% discount for every day afterward. You are only charged for the days you’re out in the great outdoors, not the days the gear is spent in transit. You’ll also be supplied with a pre-paid shipping label, and can drop off the crate at any UPS store or drop-off location when your trip is over.

Cost: $68/day for a regular crate, $120/day for a couples crate, shipping is free.
