If frolicking with penguins sounds like a pretty awesome way to spend a Saturday, then look no further than the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago where visitors can get up close and personal with a group of endangered African Penguins.

The Penguin Encounter, which debuted earlier this year at the Lincoln Park Zoo, is a one-of-a-kind experience that allows visitors to spend an hour just hanging out with a flock of penguins. The limited time experience, which runs until the end of October, features a rare colony of African penguins, which are currently listed as an endangered species. Guests are invited to step into the actual exhibit and meet the penguins up close. Though you can’t touch the penguins, they will approach you and give you a chance to observe them waddling around without a glass wall between you.

Entrance to the experience is $60 per person and visitors must be age 6 & up. Two timed entries of a group of ten are offered daily at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The entire experience, including 20 minutes inside with the penguins and prep time behind the scenes, lasts about an hour.
