With recently released new footage, This Is Us season three is beyond just being “much anticipated.” Not only has NBC released footage of the upcoming season, but show star Mandy Moore recently posted pics of the cast’s shoot with legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz on Instagram.
It’s been nearly 13 years since Leibovitz photographed a TV show cast. In 2005 the famed photographer created the cast art for The Sopranos. And now, more than a decade later, she’s creating unforgettable photos for This Is Us.
Moore posted a bounty of behind the scenes pics on IG. These include a photo of her with Leibovitz (taken by co-star Chris Sullivan) and a shot of an on-set sign, reading, “ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOS MAY BE TAKEN ON SET. ANYONE WHO IS TAKING PHOTOS WILL HAVE CELL PHONES, CAMERA REVOKED. THANK YOU.” Well, it looks like Moore is the exception to the rule (come on, are they really going to say no to the show’s star?).
The actress also caught behind the scenes looks at Leibovitz photographing the rest of her co-stars. Oh and if you’re already missing Jack, Moore posted sweet pics of herself and Milo Ventimiglia.

Well the cat’s out of the bag. What an absolute honor it was to have the one and only #annieleibovitz shoot our #ThisIsUs Season 3 artwork (the first time she’s done a tv show since The Sopranos in 2005). While we can’t show the final images just yet, here’s some BTS shots from our day together. Bucket list for sure! Wow.
