Every parent needs a little help now and then. Hey, that’s what all of those books and blogs are for. Right? But what happens when you don’t have the time to sift through pages and pages of info just to get answers to a question that you have right now? Here’s where Parenting Hero comes in. It’s a new app that has everything you need at your fingertips.
The app is based on the book How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen: A Survival Guide to Life with Children Ages 2-7 by Joanna Faber and Julie King. If the first author’s name sounds familiar, that’s because she’s the daughter of parenting pro (and super-successful author) extraordinaire Adele Faber.
Don’t worry, there’s no heavy reading here. Instead, the app provides parents with handy little cartoonish illustrations of some of the finer points. Actually, it provides parents with about 1,500 hand-drawn panels worth of the finer points.
Created by the tech startup Mythic Owl, the brains behind Parenting Hero are giving moms and dads the chance to get interactive and solve their parenting dilemmas all through their smartphones. Well, technically through their iPhones. The app is currently only available for iOS at the App Store, but will be ready to roll out on other platforms next month.
