Walmart and Lord & Taylor are partnering to launch a flagship store. And no, you won’t be able to head into a totally new high-fashion, low-priced department store. But you will be able to experience all the fashionista fun online — at Check out the premium shopping experience that Walmart plans to offer over your laptop, tablet or other device.

Browsing the fashions on doesn’t exactly thrill you. Yes, they’re inexpensive. And yes, you can find goodies galore for your kiddos. But you aren’t really seeing the fab fashions that you crave. Get ready to change your expectations when you log on to the big box retailer’s website.

Walmart’s new partnership with Lord & Taylor is about to up the shopping ante. In the past year alone Walmart has tripled their online offerings, growing from 20 million items to more than 60 million. The newest partnership is just one of many ways that Walmart plans to expand their reach and serve their customer’s needs.

Head of Fashion for Walmart U.S. eCommerce, Denise Incandela, says of the partnership, “Our goal is to create a premium fashion destination on” Incandela goes on to add, “We see customers on our site searching for higher-end items, and we are expanding our business online to focus on adding specialized and premium shopping experiences, starting with fashion. We’re excited that Lord & Taylor is part of the team we’re working with as we continue to create a new”
