October is a time of year full of traditions, from pumpkin-picking to shopping for the perfect Halloween costume. And of course, one of the best traditions is watching It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown as a family. So when does it air this year? You’re in luck, because this 1966 classic airs on the small screen not once, but twice this year!
October is “Spooktacular” on the ABC Network with plenty of not-so-scary, kid-friendly Halloween treats for the whole family—including It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
So when can your kiddo catch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown? The Charles M. Schulz classic airs on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 8 to 8:30 p.m. Eastern. This is definitely worth letting your little ones stay up past their bedtime. If you miss the first viewing, you can also catch it again on Friday, Oct. 26 from 8 to 9 p.m. Eastern. The added half-hour includes a bonus showing of You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown (for those of us who could use a break from IRL politics).
These will be the only two times to catch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for free, since the special isn’t available on any streaming services for free. To quote Charlie Brown: “AAUGH!”
If you want to watch it whenever you like, you can purchase the HD streaming version of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for $12.99 on Amazon Prime Video.
