Your summer vacations may be over, but that doesn’t mean your family travels have to come to an end. Unfortunately, those travels are about to cost a little bit more as JetBlue has increased its checked bag fees.

JetBlue’s new bag fees went into effect Aug. 27, 2018. So, if you’re flying the airline and have chosen the least pricey Blue fare, you’ll need to pay $30 extra for your first checked bag. The second checked bag will cost you $40. Three or more bags come with a checked bag fee of $150 each. (Yes, each.)

Even though the Blue fare now comes with a “1st bag” checked bag fee, customers who select the Blue Plus and Blue Flex fares get to bring along their first checked bag for free. Oh and if you opt for the Blue Flex fare, you’ll get your second bag for free too! The third bag (plus any additional luggage items) are still $150 each.

If you’re flying after Aug. 27, 2018, but booked your flight before the date, you can still snag the old checked bag prices. Blue fare passengers will pay $25 for their first checked bag, $35 for the second and $100 for the third plus. Blue Plus passengers wont pay for their first bag, but will pay $35 for the second and $100 each for the third and more. Blue Flex flyers won’t pay for their first and second bags, but will pay $100 each for any checked luggage after that.

When it comes to bag fees, it’s not easy to find no or low-cost options. But if you really can’t stand paying for your luggage to come with you, then Southwest Airlines is your best—and only—bet: it’s the only airline to give you two free checked bags on flights. It’s no wonder then, that Southwest is the top pick for this year’s best airlines for families.
