Something “Wicked” this way comes—just in time for Halloween! Broadway’s Wicked is coming to NBC and you don’t want to miss it. The Broadway sensation is headed to the small screen with two of its original stars, to boot!
If you’re a Wicked fan, you’l be happy to know that the NBC special, A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway, will feature original cast members Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth in their original roles as Elphaba and Glinda. Both Broadway stars will perform and host the event.

According to E! News, executive vice president of special programs and late night, Doug Vaughan said, “Wicked is a blockbuster musical playing all over the world and still selling out night after night after 15 years on Broadway, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Emmy- and Tony-winning producer Marc Platt and the entire Wicked team to celebrate the enduring success of this show.”
Along with Menzel and Chenoweth, the special will also include Pentatonix, Ariana Grande and performers from the current Broadway cast of Wicked. The original production team behind the Broadway musical will also produce the NBC special. The concert was taped at New Your City’s Marquis Theater.
So when can you catch this Broadway to TV Halloween magic? A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway will air on Monday, Oct. 29 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
