Linda Perry – Peachhead Families

Linda Perry lives in the right spot. “We tend to follow the sun. Venice Beach really doesn’t have super-cold winter weather, so on our chilly days, I will sometimes take a bike ride along the beach with my kids and when they were younger I would take them sand sledding on Venice Beach,” she says.

Some of the emergency winter gear Linda and her girls loved as kids were their rainboots and raincoats, perfect for splashing around in the puddles. Now that they are older, they beat the winter blues at home by making popcorn, baking cookies, watch TV and playing games (rummy tiles is their favorite).

Winter traditions include heading to Palm Springs for warm weather and even an annual trip to Maui for the holidays. The best thing about living in Los Angeles? “We are close to both the beach and the snow, so can easily drive to Lake Arrowhead and other local mountain spots for winter adventures,” she says.
