It’s just a few short months until Wreck-It-Ralph: Ralph Breaks the Internet heads to theaters, so it would be fitting if Disney Parks debuted a new attraction tied to the film soon. A Wreck-It Ralph ride is rumored to be in the works at the Magic Kingdom. Representatives for Walt Disney World did not immediately return Red Tricycle’s request for comment.
According to WDW News Today, a Wreck-It-Ralph-themed attraction is rumored to be in development. The ride would reportedly replace Stitch’s Great Escape in Tomorrowland at Disney World, which has been closed since January of this year.
Although there is no official announcement for Disney on this change, the timing couldn’t be better as the sequel to the first blockbuster film comes out in November. A Wreck-It-Ralph ride has been rumored to be in the works since 2016, when it was suggested that it might be set up as a virtual reality ride, however, CEO Bob Iger made it clear that Disney had no plans for attractions with VR in the parks.
No word yet on what this new ride would look like or when it would actually open if it does in fact come to fruition. Fingers crossed Disney Parks doesn’t wreck the idea entirely.
