Growing up everyone wants to be in a club, and if you grew up in the 80’s and 90’s that club was the Baby Sitter’s Club. Now it seems we’re all going to be reliving our glory days in Stoneybrook, Connecticut in the new The Baby-Sitters Club TV reboot!

The series by Ann M. Martin is being brought to life in collaboration with Walden Media and Michael De Luca Productions, and will feature all the original members of the beloved Baby-Sitters Club. The show will be made into 30-minute episodes, be set in modern times and address issues facing teens today.

This isn’t the first time the Club has been adapted for the screen. In 1990, a thirteen episode series aired on HBO and in 1995 we finally got the high-quality adaptation we’d all been waiting for in The Baby Sitter’s Club with Schuyler Fish, Larisa Olyenik and Rachael Leigh Cook. Say hello to your friends!

Casting hasn’t been announced for Kristy, Claudia, Mary Anne, Stacey, Dawn, Mallory and Jessie but you can bet your Kid Kit that all the characters will band together in the spirit of friendship to overcome issues like divorce, racism and inclusion just like they always have.

Until we get more news on what the upcoming small screen series will look like, maybe now’s a good time to pull out your dusty collection of the BSC books and get reading!
