You don’t have to go big to keep your little snow bunnies entertained this winter. In fact, these tiny towns are proving just how much adventure one family can fit into a small space, with everything from sleigh rides and sledding to skijoring and sightseeing, and even a few that don’t include snowy goodness (hello, beaches and sunshine). Flip through to find your next pint-sized winter destination!

Winthrop, Washington (Appx. Population 430)

The country’s largest cross country ski area is just the tip of the iceberg at this winter wonderland. Even if it’s your first time out, you and your little snow bunnies will surely find a traversable trail with over 120-miles to choose from. And we haven’t even gotten to the ice skating, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and sledding yet. Once you’ve finished your snow play, it’s time to head downtown to main street, a Wild West throwback your kids will love. Yeehaw!
