Siblings can sometimes be each other’s worst enemies, but they are also their fiercest supporters when facing a challenge. When one little girl learned that her baby brother would need to wear a corrective helmet, her natural reaction was to support him by wearing one too.

When the youngest member of the Gutierrez family needed to start wearing a corrective helmet, the whole family decided to start sporting their own. Four-month-old Jonas was diagnosed with plagiocephaly and needs to wear a helmet for up to six months to correct a flat spot on his head. It was his three-year-old sister, Camilia who came up with the idea to wear one too in solidarity. “[It was] definitely Camila’s idea,” mom Shayna Gutierrez told POPSUGAR. “Ever since he got his helmet on Wednesday it has made her want to have her helmet, too.”

The family’s story went viral after Shayna shared a few snapshots on Facebook of Camila, Jonas and dad eating breakfast and all donning their helmets together. There’s nothing sweeter than siblings getting along, but when they go above and beyond to support each other that’s when you know you’ve done something right. What an inspiring family!
