You are my children. You are my life. It’s my job to make sure you are safe and to teach you to make the right decisions and I want the very best for you. I want you to be independent and learn to make your own decisions, but please know that I am always here if you need help or direction.
I trust you, but I know there will be times you try to sneak one past me. Guess what? I will know. Mom’s just know. Like it or not. Mom’s know.
I know when you “sneak” three granola bars and stand in the pantry to eat them.
I know when you “clean” your room by shoving all the toys under the bed.
I know when you don’t wash your hands after you go to the bathroom.
I see you when you pick your nose and casually wipe the boogers on your shirt.
I know when you are feeding your dinner to the dog.
I see you when you think I’m not watching and you sneak another piece of candy.
I know it is you that shoves millions of candy and food wrappers in the couch cushions.
I know you bring your Pokemon’ cards to school even though I told you not to.
I know what you are doing, even if I can’t see you.
These things may not seem like terrible things, but as you get older the choices will get harder and the consequences more severe. Just remember…you are my baby. I am the only person who knows more about you than you know about yourself. I worry about you every single minute of the day. I am so proud of all you are becoming and all that you already are, but remember…A mom always knows. So don’t even think about it.
