Forget about the guidebooks and TripAdvisor reviews, if you really want to know what the best spots are to check out on your next family vacation, all you need to do is scroll through your Instagram feed. A new study has compiled data on Instagram posts to find the most Instagrammed destinations in the U.S. and the world.
According to research conducted by TravelBird, clocking in at 14.6 million tags, the number one most Instagrammed destination in both the U.S and the entire world is Disneyland. Florida’s Disney World takes second place in the U.S., while the Eiffel Tower takes that prize for the world. For the U.S. rankings, TravelBird ranked the top two destinations per state to ensure that the list wouldn’t solely consist of the biggest tourist spots and would include some lesser-known gems.
The top ten most Instagrammed spots in U.S. are:
- Walt Disney World
- South Beach
- Las Vegas Strip
- Times Square
- Mardi Gras
- Grand Canyon
- Waikiki, Hawaii
- Yosemite National Park
- Myrtle Beach
