Things just got better, brighter and more mouse-tastic for Disney fans. Just today, Disney has released its own version of Netflix called Disney Movies Anywhere. Available through iTunes, the new app lets you watch any Disney, Pixar or Marvel flick any time on iPad, iPhone and Apple TV.
The Movies
Choose from more than 400 movies, from ones you’ve never heard of to ones you’ve seen a thousand times, like Wreck-It-Ralph, Toy Story, Mary Poppins and more. The app is easy to navigate because it organizes films into categories, including Classics, Sports, Disney Princesses and even Documentaries.

How to Use It
When you download the app, you need to sign in with your iTunes and Disney account. This way the app will know what movies you already have on your Apple iOS devices (iPhone to Apple TV). While the app is free, movies must be purchased via iTunes. If you buy physical copies of Disney DVDs and Blu-Rays, you can also use a code to redeem a digital copy for free.

Bells & Whistles
Parents can use rating controls to monitor what their kiddos are watching, plus get access to extra behind-the-scenes footage. There’s also the chance to score Disney Movie Reward points for digital purchases. Reward points can go towards toys, novelties, movies or Disney Experiences like Radio Disney VIP access or a private Walt Disney Studios tour. Bonus: A free digital copy of The Incredible for families who sign up.
While this app isn’t specifically targeted towards kids, it certainly will make family nights a lot more fun. Put on your mouse ears and enjoy the show.
